Creating comfort through therapeutic music and milieu

Alzheimer's Ease

Music therapy has proven itself to be a very effective modalityfor connecting with persons with dementia and enabling them to reach optimal levels offunctioning and wellbeing. This article suggests methods of using music in group settings for lifeenhancing behavior management. Elements of therapeutic music and milieu are discussed.
