Assisted living for people with Alzheimer's disease: Strategic planning and management considerations

Providing assisted living services to people with dementia is different than providing assisted living to people who are physically frail, but mentally alert. Administrators need to acknowledge these differences and incorporate appropriate strategies and information in their philosophy strategic plan, marketing, and staffing endeavors. These are important factors in determining the quality of care a facility provides for people with dementia.
